David Lawrence Balding, of Candler, went to be with the Lord and Savior October 4th, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Haywood County but moved to Buncombe County in 1984. He was a CNC Programmer at T-Precision where he was a devoted worker and leader. He was a member at Allens Creek Baptist Church in Waynesville, where he grew up.
David was a man of many talents, one of them being a blessed friend to all. He loved life and his family. He was the 'mayor' of the neighborhood and took pride in every person who lived there. He will be missed by all.
Mr. Balding is survived by his parents, Oris David and Elizabeth Kilby Balding of Candler; wife, Terri Plemmons Balding; two beautiful daughters, Jessica Marchel and Taylor Elise Balding, all of the home; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Robinson and Kim Gillett and her husband Darreyll; sidekick in life, Austin McCurry; huge extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, October 7th at Starnes Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Taylor Balding College Fund, Wells Fargo Bank, 900 Smoky Park Highway, Candler, NC 28715.
