David Barry, Jr.

Dave was born October 5, 1950 and passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 24, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Miami, Florida. In his adult life, he was a resident of Key Largo, Florida, for 25 years and lived in Waynesville, North Carolina, near family for the last 10 years. Dave was a generous, caring son, brother and uncle. He was a wonderful friend who touched us all with his funny and loving attitude towards life. He was a brilliant, skilled man with unlimited talents, who played an important role in the lives of his family. We will miss Dave, but remember him with joy and laughter, once our terrible sadness fades a bit. He is preceded in death by his father, David James Barry Sr. and survived by his mother Constance Barry and three sisters Marita, Corrine and Virginia. His passing will be deeply felt by his brother-in-law Woody, his niece and nephews David, Ben, Kelsie and Brad, along with many other loving family members and close family friends. Dave was a wonderful man; he loved greatly and was greatly loved in return. A memorial service to celebrate Dave's life is planned for this summer.
