David Boone

"1952 – 2016" Canton - David Samuel Boone, age 64, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his residence. He was a son of the late Ray and Virginia Cordell Boone. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Bumgarner Boone; one daughter, Natalie Boone of Canton; two sons, Jeremy Boone (Kelly) and Jerrod Boone (Kadie), all of Canton; one sister, Joanna Foegeding (Allen) of Raleigh; three brothers, Joe Boone (Margie) of Weaverville, Martin Boone (Susie) of Santa Cruz, California, and Jim Boone (Nina) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and six grandchildren, Nicholas Boone, Taylor Holland, Alex, Whitney, Ellis, and Lawson Boone. At David's request no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David and Lynn Boone scholarship fund, c/o First Citizens Bank, 37 Park Street, Canton, NC 28716. The fund will be used to provide scholarships for one student athlete graduating from Pisgah High School and one girls' basketball player graduating from Enka High School to assist with their college expenses.
