David Hines

Waynesville, David E. Hines, age 65, of Clayton Lake, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Volusia County, Florida, he previously resided in St. Petersburg Florida before moving to Haywood County in 2008. He was the son of the late Marvin and Ada Mae Mansell Hines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Elizabeth Davidson. David was a graduate of Emory University, served in the National Guard and was a member of the Sierra Club. He was employed with Southland Corporation as a Field Manager for 20 years. David enjoyed hiking, camping, gardening, and was of Christian Faith. David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Michaelene Osemlak Hines; a son, Michael David Hines and his fiancée, Brandi O Brien, of St. Petersburg, Florida; a brother, Marvin Hughes Hines, Jr. of Florida and two faithful companions, Gus and Dixie Dee. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Paul officiating.
