D.B. Arrington

Panther Creek-D.B. Arrington, age 75, of Amos Arrington Road, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at his home. He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of the late Amos and Effie Rathbone Arrington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Pearl Arrington in 2003 and his daughter, Diane Pressley. He was employed by Haywood County Schools in the Maintenance Department for 37 years and retired in 1991. He was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church where he served as treasurer and deacon for several years. D.B. also served on the Haywood County School Board for four years and was a friend to everyone. He is survived by a brother, Marvin Arrington and his wife, Faye of Clyde; one grandchild, Heath Pressley and his wife, Alicia and two great-grandchildren, Heath Alan Pressley II and Brooks Pressley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Panther Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville.
