D.C Hall

D. C. Hall Canton- D. C Hall, age 94, went to be with his Lord, Jesus, on Friday, September 19, 2014. A native of Clay County lived in Haywood County since 1942. He was the son of the late DeWitt Clinton Hall and Lizzie Welch Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Setzer Hall; an infant son, Allen Clinton Hall; a daughter Martha Jean Hall; he was also preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters. He worked at Champion Papers in Canton for 33 years. He was also a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church. He loved helping others, making a garden and sharing it with family and friends. He enjoyed working on cars. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Dee Hall and Darlene Williams both of Canton; a grandson, Allen; a granddaughter, Kelly; two great grandchildren, Jada and Tyler; several nieces and nephews; all who called him uncle Dee or papaw Dee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with preacher Scotty Patrick and wife Ginger Patrick. Burial will follow at Morning Star Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30- 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
