Debora Moran

Waynesville, Debora Ann Gilliland Moran, age 49, of Cindy Lane, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her residence. A native of Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of Virginia Fallin Gilliland of Waynesville and the late Thomas Bryant Gilliland, Jr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Moran, who died in 2000, one brother, Steve Allen Gilliland and a nephew, Nathaniel Sean Gilliland. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her, and she had a special place in her heart for her chihuahua, Speedy. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Timothy A Gilliland and his wife, Terra Burgess, of Canton; one sister, Mary Mowbray and her husband, Jim, of Morganton, NC; three brothers, Daniel S. Gilliland and Robert Dale Gilliland, both of Maggie Valley and John Brock Gilliland and his wife, Wendy, of Vero Beach, Florida; two grandchildren, Alana Grace Gilliland and Sean Thomas Gilliland; a special niece, Dana Gilliland, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Scotty Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to services.
