Dennis Cutshaw

Waynesville, Dennis Marshall "Butch" Cutshaw, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at MedWest Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Truman Newton and Essie Maye Messer Cutshaw and was also preceded in death by a half brother, Joe Cutshaw. He was a retired meter reader for the Town of Waynesville. Butch loved computers and listening to country music. He is survived by three sisters, Jean Rose and her husband, Lloyd, and Hazel Lee Surrett, of Waynesville, Sally Mintz of Canton and an adopted sister Brenda Houser of Oak Island, North Carolina; one brother, Charles Newton Cutshaw and his wife, Shirley; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Moore and Reverend Daryl Hannah officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 90 Stiles Road, Canton, NC 28716.
