Waynesville, Dennis Albert Frampton, 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born one of eight children in Somerset, England in 1935. He graduated from the Lawrence Sherriff High School and achieved a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering before emigrating to the United States in 1959. He went on to become Manager of Advanced Engineering for the Xerox Corporation in Rochester, New York. His career extended to management posts in both Belgium and Germany before returning to the United States, where he established his own printing business in Savannah, Georgia. For the last 20 years, he owned and operated Prospect Hill Bed and Breakfast in Waynesville, North Carolina with his wife Judith. Throughout his life, Dennis was known as an English gentleman, with a passion for knowledge, a love of music, literature and art, and a deep commitment to family. He was loved as a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a brother. He died in the country and in the mountains that he loved. Dennis leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Judith Ann Beabes Frampton; his daughters, Maxine Spencer, Shelley Townley, Rachel Hoffmann, and Jaqui Wilson; his sons-in-law, Greg Spencer, Ron Townley, and Mark Wilson; and his ten grandchildren, Molly, Chelsea, Samuel, Bailey, William, Miranda, Michael, Joseph, Emily, and Nicholas; as well as brothers and sisters in the United States and England. The family will welcome friends and guests on Saturday, July 25th from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at their home, Prospect Hill Bed and Breakfast, 274 South Main Street, Waynesville.
