Dennis Watson

Dennis H. Watson Canton-Dennis Henley Watson, 81 of Canton died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at the Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late John and Lily Gibson Watson. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had been employed with American Enka for 37 years. Surviving are, a daughter and her husband, Linda and Mike Caldwell of Canton, sons and their wives, Bobby and Linda Watson and Denny and Becky Watson all of Waynesville, a brother, James Troy Watson of Canton, six grandchildren, Chad, Holly, Brad, Denny, Stacy and Stephanie and six great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26th at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.Military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Post #5202 and American Legion Post #47. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be-Jason Gardner, Brad, Chad and Denny Watson, Randy McClendon, Mark Henson and Jessie Smathers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Christian Academy at 5900 Pigeon Road Canton, NC 28716.
