Denny Mann

Denny Wayne Mann, age 61, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Billie Mann and the late Wiley Mann. He retired from Dayco Corporation with 24 years of service and attended Rocky Face Baptist Church. Denny will be remembered for being a hard worker and devoted to his family. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake. Denny was very generous, always thinking of others. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, Calvin Dewayne Mann and David Mann and his wife, Nancy, of Canton and Jimmy Wayne Mann and his girlfriend, Heather King, of Leicester; two sisters, Linda Loftis and her husband, Kenny, and Diane Holcombe of Granite Falls, North Carolina; two brothers, Robert Mann and his wife, Linda, and David Mann of Canton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
