Diana Griffin

Canton, Diana Cecelia Griffin, age 76, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at her residence.

Born on February 23, 1945 and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. Griffin, Sr, and Doris B. Griffin.  She was a graduate of Stranahan High School Class of 1963.  Diana retired from the Florida State Turnpike Authority.  She dearly loved the mountains and moved to Canton in 2008.  She adored her grandchildren and loved being involved with the care of children.  She was currently working with the Foster Grandparents Program through Mountain Projects.

Diana is survived by her beloved brother, Howard J. Griffin, Jr. (Janice); three special daughters, Dawn, Sherri, and Terri; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

At Diana’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

The care of Mrs. Griffin has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
