Diane Allmond

Waynesville, Cleda Diane Green Allmond, age 47, of Holly Ridge Road, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Billy Earl and Mary Alice Haney Green. She was a former housekeeper at Rocky Waters Motel and most recently at Mission Hospital. Diane loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, fishing and traveling, especially to the Isle of Palms Beach in Charleston. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Billy Allmond; her son, Kevin Derek Green and wife, Teresa of Waynesville; step-son, Jason Lee Allmond, of Savannah, Georgia; step-daughter, Heather Michelle Allmond, of Claxton, Georgia; two sisters, Ada Pearl Green and Stella Bethelea Massie and husband, Mike of Waynesville; two brothers, Harold David Green and wife, Von, and Jimmy Ray Green also of Waynesville; two step-grandchildren; and a special friend, Cheyenne Haynes and husband, Carl, of Columbia, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Blanton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
