Dolores Young

"Loving Mother & Cherished Friend" Clyde– Dolores Mary Brown Young, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Homestead. A native of Forest City, Iowa she was the daughter of the late Marion Grover and Lovilla Dwyer Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Adelbert Roy Young. From a very young age, Dolores was recognized for her talents as a gifted singer. In high school, Dolores won first division honors at the state music contest and was one of the select few soprano soloists to be given the honor. Singing was her passion, her gift and her cherished legacy. Dolores attended college on a music scholarship. She worked at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago for 25 years and had lived in Clyde for 30 years. Dolores was a true angel on earth – always giving. Dolores is survived by three daughters, Lorna Mary Young, of Canton, Nancy Kit Young, of Canton and Lisa Taylor Garcia Flores, of Marietta, Georgia. A private memorial service will be held for her family.
