Canton-Don Harold Headrick, 83 of the Cruso Community went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 24, 2003 after a brief illness.
He was a native of Hugoton, KS and had been a longtime resident of Haywood County. He was a son of the late Oscar Cicero and Maude Dix Headrick . He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Goolsby Headrick and his second wife was Ruby Louise Jamison Headrick who died in 1998. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Louise Headrick who died in 1943, a stepdaughter, Martha Sue Head and a stepson James Morgan. He had retired from Champion International and was a member of East Fork Baptist Church. He was a member of the Pigeon River Masonic Lodge #386 AM & AM. He will be sadly missed by his beloved canine companion, Pee Wee.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Loretta Wilson of Fairview and Mari Etta Johnson of Covington, GA. One brother, Howard Franklin Headrick of Tallahassee, FL, several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 27th at New Cruso Cemetery with Reverend Lewis Gibson officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to a charity of one's choice.
Wells Funeral Home, Canton is in charge of arrangements.
