Donald Butt

Clyde, Donald E. Butt, age 68, of Panther Creek Road, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Ontario, Canada, he previously resided in Okeechobee, Florida before moving to Haywood County in 1995. He was the son of the late Edwin and Evelyn Davey Butt. He was a retired police sergeant having served 24 years in the Niagara Regional Police Department. Donald had a passion for gardening and enjoyed going fishing. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Charlotte Reeves Butt; three daughters, Karen Dawn, Dianna, and Veronica June; six grandchildren, Amber, Austin, A-Jay, and Annie Freeman, Litisha and Sophie; and a special friend, Jude Gobolos. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Lake Junaluska Fellowship Hall with Reverend Bruce Cayton and Reverend Carol Tong officiating.
