Donald Ewart

Clyde, Donald T. Ewart, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Haywood County on July 5, 1949. He worked as a foreman for Fire Sprinkler Companies for several years, prior to his illness. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, camping, fishing, and having cookouts. He is survived by his parents, Luther and Mary Ewart; his wife, Brenda P. Ewart, of 43 years; his two daughters, Sherri Pitts and her fianc�, Titus Hutchinson, of Clyde and Donna Reece of Bethel; one brother, Kenny Ewart and his wife, Loretta, of Clyde; two sisters, Nancy Nelson and her husband, Eddie, of Maggie Valley; and Susan Darcy and her husband, Rich, of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Beth Reece, Dustin C. Reece and his wife, Jessica all of Bethel and Tyler Pitts of Clyde; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Reece of Bethel, Dakotah Reece of Bethel; best friend, "brother" Samuel Payne of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Panther Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Greene officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
