Donald Green

Donald Willard Green, 85, of Candler passed away on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born in Buncombe County, the only son of eight children to the late Willard and MaryLou Green.
After graduating from Sand Hill High School, he joined the US Air Force in 1946. He served for twenty-two years, serving in during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He married the late Katherine Tolley in 1949 and they had four children, Donna, Donnie, Karen and Duane. Donald was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday (today) from 6-8PM in the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 12th with Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
