Canton-Donald Bruce Harkins-42, of Asheville died Thursday, December 26, 2002.
He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of Joyce Singleton Harkins of Canton and the late Dewey Harkins. He served in the United States Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Judy Harkins of Waynesville.
Graveside memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2003 at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton prior to the graveside memorial service. At other times the family will be at the home of his mother, Joyce Harkins, 51 Riverview Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
