Donald Mccormick

Waynesville, Donald Ray "Don" McCormick, age 75, of Clellie View Drive, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at his residence. A native of St. Clair County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Christine Hammett McCormick Crammer. He attended Jacksonville State and Howard College and was employed for 22 years as a salesman for Max Factor cosmetics. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clearwater, Florida. Don was a musician and guitar player and performed on the "Country Boy Eddie Show" in Birmingham, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie Dean Burroughs McCormick; two daughters, Mitzi Davis, of Clyde and Coni Bishop and her husband, Craig, of Waynesville; and five grandchildren, Brittany Bishop, Jonathon Davis, Justin Bishop, Jennifer Davis and Joshua Davis. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
