Donald Milner

Waynesville, Donald Neuman Milner, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Haywood County, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Hembree Milner, who died in 2009; he also was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Donald was a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and retired from Champion Paper. Donald enjoyed gardening, tending to his apple trees, watching his sons and grandsons play sports. He enjoyed traveling to the United States Air Force reunions with his friend Bobby McFalls. Donald is survived by two sons, Steven, and his wife, Sherri of Waynesville and David Milner of Dallas Texas; two grandsons, Tanner and Clay Milner. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Murdock and Reverend Bobby McFalls officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
