Donald Trambley

Waynesville, Donald Arthur Trambley, age74, died on Friday, December 19, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Born in New Mexico, Donald resided in Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, GA before moving to Haywood County in 1985. He was the son of the late Leo and Eugenia Hasty Trambley and was preceded in death by his twin brother, Dean Trambley; nephew, Donnie Keen and sister-in-law, Jean Unger. Donald was full of life and enjoyed adventure and loved to go on cruises. As a young man he raced motorcycles, always had smile on his face and had never met a stranger. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Gebhard Trambley; his children, James Donald Trambley, Judy Lynn Trambley Blackwell and her husband, Eric, of Acworth, GA and David Keith Trambley and his wife, Linda, of Woodstock, GA; two grandchildren, Courtney and Trevor Blackwell, sister-in- law, Doris Keen, of Palm Bay, FL; a niece, Barbara Keen Houghton; great niece, Emily Zubiria as well as many extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Entombment will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
