Maggie Valley, Donna Kay Cagle Carver, 58, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022.
A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Mary Downs Cagle Johnson and the late Charles Cagle. She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene; brother, Dale; sweet grandson, Mason Cagle; and stepfather, Paul Johnson.
Donna enjoyed working hard and was employed as a housekeeper. She attended Calvary Road Baptist Church and was a person who enjoyed the tiny adventures of everyday life. Donna enjoyed cooking and baking for her family gave her joy. Her favorite recipes will be passed down to generations.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her four children, daughter, Darlene Cagle; sons, Chris Cagle, Andrew Carver (Kristin), and Jeremy Carver (Kristen); brothers, Ricky and Steven Cagle; companion, Larry Angel; nine precious grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna, Allen, Eli, Jayden, Jacob, Joshua, Ashley, and Abby; and Cassandra Bradley who was like a daughter.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery in Maggie Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
The care of Donna has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
