Donna Potter

Clyde- Donna Kay Potter, age 54, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, and she was the daughter of the late Hollie M. and Hilda Bonham Potter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Hollie M. Potter, Jr. and Stanley M. Potter. Donna was Department Manager at Walmart with 16 years service. She enjoyed puzzles and reading in her spare time. She volunteered at R.E.A.C.H., helped with the Children's Miracle Network fundraisers, and donated to the Associates in Critical Need at Walmart. She is survived by two sisters, Karen Jones, of Clyde and Rita Matthis, and her husband, Wayne, of Waynesville; two brothers, Virgil Potter, of Statesville, NC and Alan Potter of Clyde; seven nephews; two nieces; and best friend and neighbor, Ruby Stephenson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at North Canton Cemetery with the Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
