Donnie Barfield

Waynesville, Donnie Barfield, age 63, of 128 Mull Street, died on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Kershaw County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Edward and Geneva Bowers Barfield. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Matt Littlejohn and a great grandson, Christopher Matthew Littlejohn. Donnie was a mechanic by trade. He was a member of Allen's Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dale; one son, Lawrence Barfield, of Waynesville; two daughters, Tammy Walker and her husband, Tim, of Lugoff, SC and Mattie Barfield of Waynesville; two sisters, Francis Cook, of Ridgeway, SC and Pauline Ray of Lugoff, SC; one brother, Sonny Barfield and his wife, Billie, of Tempe, AZ; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
