"Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother"

Waynesville, Donnie "Donna" Lucille Williams Plemmons, 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at her residence.

Donnie was born in Burke County, the daughter of the late Jessie and Eva Herron Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Randy Eugene and Gene Allen Plemmons and four sisters, Mary Chapman, Bonnie Phillips, Vida Richardson and Ruth Stevens. Donnie was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and loved to fish, garden, and go camping. She was known to be an especially good cook.

Donnie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jessie Eugene Plemmons; her daughter, Jeanann Yates and her husband, Bryan, of Clyde; her grandson, Taylor Kevin Yates and his wife, Kendall, of Waynesville; and six sisters, Raye Leonhardt and Sue Hallyburton of Morganton, Ruby Pons of Valdese and Margaret Dietz, Marie Richardson, and Alice Faye Williams, all of Morganton.

Private graveside services will be held. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
