Doris Duncan

Waynesville, Doris Blanton Duncan, age 71, of 1785 Hyatt Creek Road, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Agnes Ruff Blanton. Doris loved taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed fishing and sewing, especially quilting. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wade Duncan; a son, Steve Duncan and his wife, Tina; one sister, Doyle Caldwell and her husband, Joe; a brother, Robert Blanton and his wife, Trisha; two grandchildren, Amber Duncan and Holly Duncan and her husband, Dewaine Wyatt; two great-grandchildren, Madison Wyatt and Natalie Wade Wyatt; all of Waynesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Blanton and Reverend Johnny Swanger officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Jones, Josh Crawford, Dewaine Wyatt, Steve Duncan, Michael Caldwell, and Wayne Crawford.
