Doris Ireland

Doris Frantz Ireland, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Martelle, Iowa, Doris moved from Miami Florida to Haywood County in 1971. She was a daughter of the late Will and Carrie Lehr Frantz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton A. Ireland, who died in 2000. Doris was a retired school teacher. When able, she supported her beloved Cruso United Methodist Church with her prayers, presence, service, and gifts. She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Fenwick of Canton; one step-daughter, Patricia McLaughin, in Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Louise Gossett of Avon Park, Florida; two grandsons, Nathan and Christopher Fenwick; and three great-grandchildren, Grace, Collin, and Victoria Fenwick. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Cruso United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from following the service at the church.
