Doris Lance

Doris P. Lance, 81, of Asheville passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of Virginia, she was daughter of the late John Henry and Mabel Corn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lance and a daughter, Kathy Moore.

She worked for Magnavox for 30 years and for Asheville Private School for 25 years.  But she was most proud of her family, of which Doris was the center, always caring for those she loved. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Montes and her husband, Jose of Hendersonville; son, David Lance and his wife, Paula of Asheville; seven grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Baron Todd, Jose Montes, Jr., Eddie Montes, Travis Varner, William Varner and Nicholas Lance and four grandchildren, Jaxon, Analia, Lincoln and Morgan.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The care of Mrs. Lance has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
