Canton – Doris Keener Holcombe Lands, age 84, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at her residence. "Baw," as known by all who loved her, will be most remembered for the best cooking anywhere around, for all time, loving and kind to all God's creations and most of all the BEST MOM EVER! Baw's children deeply loved her, and she will be truly missed by all! Baw wrote down that she is survived by her four wonderful children, Dwight K. Holcombe, Cathy H. Eckenrod, Sharon H. Williams, Teresa H. Smith and their families. She requested no funeral or memorial service. Instead she wanted family and friends to have good food, much laughter and a good story or two. Many thanks to all family and friends for their lovingkindness and prayers. Baw's wish was that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Clyde Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 100 Counsel Place, Waynesville, NC 28786.
