Doris Ringer

Waynesville, Doris Audrey Daily Ringer, age 82, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Smoky Mountain Health Care. A native of Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Edwin and Gladys Jordan Daily and was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth P. Ringer, Jr., who died in 1989. Doris was a retired teacher's assistant and attended White Oak Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she enjoyed synchronized swimming, bowling and sailing off the coast of Florida. Doris is survived by a daughter, Kimberly R. Bennett of St. Petersburg, Florida; sons, Kenneth Palmer Ringer, III and Karl Fredrick Ringer, of Waynesville; brothers, Glenn Daily and wife, Terry, of Hendersonville and Roger Daily and wife, Ruth, of Richardson, Texas; five grandchildren, Michael, Tiana, Christian, Justin and Lauren; and one great-grandchild, Braylin. Doris also had three special companions, Clancy and Buffy, her two dogs, and Puddin, her cat. A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating.
