Dorothy Foster

Candler-Dorothy June Foster, age 66, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the wife of the late Robert Foster who died December 15, 1972. She was the daughter of Daisy Keith Warren of Candler and the late Eulis W. Warren. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Warren and was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Kathy Lynn Mayberry and her husband, Randy of Candler; three sons, Jeffrey Lane Foster of Candler, John Lee Foster of Sarasota, FL, William Joseph Foster of Okinawa, Japan; three sisters, Helen Overman of Virginia, Pearl Lillian Shephard and Ruth Sherlin both of Candler; five brothers, Charles, Frank, Jerry, Johnny and Robert Warren all of Candler, and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Reverend Danny Buckner and Reverend Homer Moore will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Randy and Kathy Mayberry, 316 Glider Drive, Candler, NC 28715.
