Dorothy Heatherly

– Dorothy Holland Heatherly, 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Vincent Holland and Daisy Shook Holland Heatherly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Way Heatherly, who died in 2002. Dorothy was a member of Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Jack Heatherly and his wife, Judy, of Canton, and Phillip Heatherly and his wife, Debbie, of Franklin; one sister, Martha Jean Whitt of Ohio; one brother, Wilburn V. Holland and his wife, Frances, of Canton; one grandson, Jeff Heatherly and his wife, Kristy; and two great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Sarah Heatherly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Pastor Jake Cagle and the Preacher Jeff Heatherly officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
