Dorothy Wangerin

Waynesville, NC, Dorothy Mae Wangerin, age 88, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Brian Center. She was a native of New York City, New York and resided in Pasadena, California. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Louis Wangerin and Eleanor Jenkins Wangerin and was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wangerin. She spent her time working in Pasadena, CA before retiring to Palm Desert, CA. Ms. Wangerin was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert. She was survived by two nephews, Steven Wangerin and his wife, Cathy, of Jacksonville, NC, David Wangerin and his wife, Rebecca Lile, of Waynesville; one niece Doris Smith, and her husband, Gary, of Trenton, NC and a sister-in-law, Ilse Wangerin, of Riverbend, NC. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
