Douglas Bishop

Douglas Wayne Bishop, 53, of Candler, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and graduated from Enka High School. Doug had an infectious smile, a love for everyone, especially the Carolina Panthers, and could brighten anyone's day. The family wishes to thank the staff at Pisgah Manor for their love and care.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Earla Faye Cabe Wise.
Doug is survived by his father, Charles Bishop and step-mom, Nancy Bishop; step-father, John Wise; brother, Kenneth Eugene Bishop; step-brothers, Ricky, Terry, Larry and Richard Ledford; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday (today) at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Chapel of Faith with Rev. James Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
