Douglas Henson

Douglas Keith Henson, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. He was born in Tryon, NC to the late Marvin and Elizabeth Nell Robinson Henson. Doug lived most of his life in Buncombe County but spent ten special years living in Wilmington. He worked in the construction industry as a dry kiln operator. One of his favorite hobbies was working on puzzles and he also enjoyed model cars. Doug will especially be remembered for being very kind-hearted and willing to help anyone in need. Doug is survived by two sons, Matthew Henson of Asheville and Justin Henson of Florida; siblings, Sherian Conner and her husband, Junior of Clyde, Rhonda Carver and her husband, Tem; Dale Henson and his wife, Darlene and Janice Boone and her husband, Clifford all of Candler and several nieces and nephews. No services are currently planned.
