Doyle Muse

Waynesville, Doyle Eugene Muse, age 78, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Universal Health Care in Fletcher. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Fonslow and Helen Chambers Muse. Doyle was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Dayco with 36 years' service in Quality Assurance. He enjoyed fishing, reading and learning about local history and collecting and trading old tools. He was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Caroline Cody Muse; a son, Cody Muse and his wife, Theresa, of Fletcher; a sister, Doris Ann Muse of Waynesville; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Muse. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with Revered Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
