Dr. Enloe

Waynesville-Dr. Frank Robert Enloe, age 72, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 477 Woodland Drive. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Hamilton H. and Elizabeth Boyd Enloe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Enloe, who died in 1977. He was a US Army veteran. He graduated from NC State in 1959 and received his Doctorate in Veterinarian Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1963. He was co-owner of Junaluska Animal Hospital and later owner of Enloe Animal Hospital in Waynesville and established Cherokee Animal Hospital before retiring in 2003. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joan Enloe; three daughters, Melissa Enloe of Bluffton, SC and Jennifer and Trudy Enloe, both of Savannah, GA; one sister, Alice Morgan, of Cashiers, NC; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to animal fund of ones choice.
