Dr. Mcgary

Clyde, Dr. Landon David McGary, age 35 died Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Mission Hospital Campus as a result of a motorcycle accident near Clyde, N.C. where he resided and practiced dentistry. He was a son of David McGary and the late Debbie McGary of Flushing, OH and was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Valerie. Landon was a 1991 graduate of Union Local High School and a 1999 graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Dental School. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church where he was active with the youth. He was also a member of the Western Carolina Dental Society. Landon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed playing sports and hunting. He was an integral part of his community and enjoyed spending time with his loving family and many friends. A deeply spiritual person, Landon enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle. Landon is survived by his wife of 6 years, Angela McGary, one son Aidan McGary of the home, his father David and his wife Patty of Belmont, OH, 2 brothers, Darin McGary of Lafferty, OH, Shelby McGary and his wife Julie of Flushing, OH, two step-brothers Scott Myers of St. Clairsville, OH and Michael Myers and his wife Pria of St. Clairsville, OH, 2 nephews Tyler and Jeremy and one niece Sarah. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at St. John's Catholic Church. Father Larry Lomonaco will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aidan McGary Scholarship Fund, C/O Wenzel and Wenzel Attorneys at Law, 166 Branner Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
