Dwight Presnell

Waynesville-Dwight Presnell, age 61, of Jordan Farm Drive, died Saturday, August 30, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of the late Pless and Lillie Teaster Presnell.

He was a member of East Waynesville Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of the Presnell Exxon and Presnell Tree Service for 33 years. He was a former member of the Junaluska Fire Department for 30 years. He loved trading and especially guns, and enjoyed his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Presnell.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy Wines Presnell; one daughter, Angie Franklin and her husband Jeff of Canton; one son, Shannon Presnell and his wife Laura of Waynesville; four brothers, Carl, Bobby, Kenneth and Mike Presnell, all of Waynesville; two granddaughters, Jessie and Caylee Franklin.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at the East Waynesville Baptist Church. The Reverend Chan Chandler will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. At other times, the family will be at the home.

The pallbearers will be Brad and Brent Hyatt, Bobby Teaster, Robert Walker, Ted Underwood, and Eddie Cabe.
