Ebb Field

Waynesville, Ebb Horton "Andy" Field, age 69, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at The Homestead. A native of Seneca, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Ebb H. Field, Jr and Ann Pruitt Field. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sullivan. Andy served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He graduated from Clemson and received his MBA from Emory University. Prior to working as a business consultant for 15 years, Andy worked for Coca Cola and the John Harland check printer in Atlanta. Andy was a man of many talents. He was a successful businessman, boating enthusiast, and compassionate friend and family man. He enjoyed a good game of golf and his sense of humor was unforgettable. Andy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who touched the hearts of so many. Andy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Terry Brogdon Field; two daughters, Caroline Hanna, and her husband, Wilson and Ashley Dukes, and her significant other, Harley Holley, all of Summerville, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Brandon Dukes, Addison Holley, Kendall Hanna and Sadie Hanna. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Waynesville with Reverend Sanford L. Giles, Jr. officiating.
