Eddie Sadler

Edward Lee "Eddie" Sadler, age 94, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at Fleshers Fairview Healthcare. A native of Beaufort County, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Becton and Bertha Congleton Sadler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, to whom he was married for 76 years, Irma Hodges Sadler, who died in September, 2015; and two brothers, Charles Ray and Leroy Sadler; and an infant sister, Doloros Sue Sadler. Eddie was born in Washington, North Carolina and also attended school there but he lived most of his life in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was also a United States Army veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater and worked as a meat merchandiser/buyer for the United States government from which he retired. He is survived by his daughter, Sue Sadler Paschall and Leonard Waycaster of Candler; two grandchildren, Dwayne and Dana Paschall; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Pastor Nick McDonald officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army.
