Eddie Schermerhorn

Candler, Eddie Henry Schermerhorn, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 16, 2020.

Born in Ogden, Utah, Eddie was the son of the late Edith and Eddie McAfee Schermerhorn. Eddie was a Veteran, having proudly served with the United States Navy.

Left to cherish Eddie’s memory are his wife, Phyllis Schermerhorn; three sons, Donnie McCormick (Patty), Darin McCormick (Pam), and Clint Schermerhorn (Nancy); a daughter, Tara Canup (James); and many grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Mausoleum of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Mausoleum of Forest Lawn.

The care of Mr. Schermerhorn has been entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
