Edgar Hall

Edgar Kermit Hall, age 78, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Mission Hospitals – Memorial Campus. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Vick Hall. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Grace Mashburn Hall, who died in 1999 and a brother, Virgil Hall. Edgar was an employee and a dedicated member of West Canton Baptist Church with 32 years of faithful service. In his final hours, he was surrounded by his family whom he loved deeply. Abby, his only great-granddaughter, was his pride and joy. He is survived by a daughter, Diane Pope and her husband, Michael, of Canton; two brothers, Everette Hall of Conway, SC and Vaughn Hall of Canton; two granddaughters, Katie and Holly Pope and a great-granddaughter, Abby. The celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Trantham and Jason Trantham officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
