Edith Presnell

Edith Elizabeth Presnell, age 77, of Coleman Mountain Road, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014. Born on June 7, 1936 in Haywood County, Edith was the daughter of the late John and Tina Messer Green and was preceded in death by four brothers. Edith loved her family, shopping with her granddaughters and taking good care of her lawn. She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Presnell (Merrita) of Hot Springs, Carl Presnell (Connie) of Clyde, Jerry Presnell (Janet) of Candler; three brothers, James Green, of Clyde, Norman Green (Joanne), of Waynesville and Lee Green, of Salem, New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her special dog, Ginger. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rathbone Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. prior to services.
