Waynesville, Edith Earley Trammell was delivered by the arms of angels into the hands of her loving Lord and Savior on December 21, 2015 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was surrounded by her family at the time. Edith was a native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Clara Earley. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late James (PeeWee) Trammell, who passed away in 1999. Edith loved to cook and spend time with her family. She loved all of the holidays, but Christmas was always a special season for her. This Christmas, we grieve at the loss of such a special lady, but rejoice that she is spending this Christmas in Heaven with Jesus and all her loved ones that have gone on before her. Left to cherish her memory are her children, James Trammell, Sharon Walls, Judy Hall, Joe Trammell, and Howell Trammell, all of Waynesville. Edith also had several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. A private service was held with Edith's family on December 23, 2015 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. On behalf of Edith, her family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all of her caregivers at Maggie Valley, each one was special to her.
