"Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother" Canton – Edith Grogan Trull, age 67, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Oder Homer and Daisy Belle Pressley Grogan. Edith was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where she enjoyed participating in senior activities with the Young at Heart Sunday school class. She also loved playing the piano and singing in the choir. Her greatest joy was in spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching Duke Basketball and never missed a game on TV. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Benny Trull; three children, Anita Lynn Brown (Willie) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida Timothy Ray Trull (Holly) of Clyde and Amy Faye Hodge (Lenny) of Canton; three sisters, Mary Wells, Bonnie Freeman, and Donna Browning, all of Canton; one brother, Hugh Grogan of Canton; six grandchildren, Jessica Ay, Milas Trull, Hunter Hodge, Lydia Hodge, Max Trull and Jada Brown; and one great-grandchild, Evan Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Crestview Baptist Church with the Reverend Dan Page, Reverend Barry Clark, and Reverend Mark Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. At other times, the family will be at the home of the son, 140 Paige Lane in Clyde. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crestview Baptist Church Building Fund, 3258 Pisgah Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
