Edna Cooke Bradley, age 84, died on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Riley and Nancy Cathey Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Bradley who died in 2003; six sisters; and four brothers. She was a member of Long's United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Mike Bradley of Hawaii and Steve Bradley of Hillsboro; a brother, Ray Cook of Canton; a grandson, Michael Scott Bradley and his wife, Dee Dee, of Fletcher; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Jordan Bradley. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend W. O. "Bill" Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Long's Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
