Edna Briggs

Edna Briggs, age 80, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Care Partners in Asheville. She was born February 25, 1933 to the late Virgil Herron and the late Myrtle Dunkle Herron.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Briggs and two sons, Virgil Ray Briggs and Gay William Briggs.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellie Brown and her husband Paul of Leicester; four grandchildren; Jimmy Brown and his wife Dorothy of Leicester, Michael Brown and his wife Misty of Waynesville, and Virgil Briggs and Fred Briggs of Leicester; four great grandchildren, Tamara, Andrew, Justin and Chanie; and one sister, Carrie Morgan of Asheville.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, 1498 Sand Hill Rd., Candler. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Cemetery.
