Edna Henson

Canton - Edna Curtis Henson, age 79, of the Cruso Community died Friday, June 24, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Greenville, SC and had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Etta Rhinehart Curtis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Roy Henson who died in 1979 and two sisters, Rochelle Robinson and Reba Coffee. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Cruso United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Stanley G. Henson and his wife, Brenda and Larry Henson and his wife, Charlotte all of Canton; two sisters, Janie Love of Greensboro and Sarah Dixon of Newport News, VA and a grandson Brandon Lee Henson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of the son, Stanley Henson, 133 Rolling Acres Drive, Canton. Memorials may be made to Cruso United Methodist Church, Cruso Road, Canton, NC 28716.
